Ridgway is a financial advisory firm. It provides independent financial
and commercial advice regarding infrastructure and public utility
projects.
Our
team helps public sector clients plan, procure and supervise
infrastructure and utility services. For private sector clients, we
advise on the financial aspects of tendering for, developing and
operating projects.
People: Richard
MacGeorge is Ridgway's principal consultant. John Austin is a non
executive director on secondment to the ADB, Tania Holden is a senior manager, James Stewart is
a financial analyst and Carol Moffatt is our practice manager. More

Zealand, but has an international focus, mainly in the Asia Pacific
region and Africa.

The team brings 20 years investment banking
and advisory experience from assignments in over 30 countries in Asia,
Oceania, Europe,
the Americas and Africa.
Clients
appoint us directly or under Technical Assistance programmes
supported by international financial institutions like the
World
Bank and the Asian Development Bank.
New Zealand
Infrastructure is a fledgling investment
asset
class in New Zealand. Ridgway promotes this
class through the New Zealand Infrastructure Briefing
Weekly newsletter and through the promotion of
an index tracking publicly traded infrastructure shares called the NewZealand Infrastructure Index.
The company also advises public and private
clients on infrastructure policy, procurement , financing and risk
management matters.

> Asia 2010: Water Resources and Renewable Energy Development in Asia (29-30 March 2010, Malaysia) - Invited to present a paper on "Establishing an equitable hydro financial benefits framework for host governments".
> Pakistan/ Government of Sindh - Appointed by the Asian Development Bank to develop approaches to PPP procurement, value for money and viability gap funding.
> Lao PDR/ Financial Evaluation of PPPs in Power Sector - Appointed
by Lao Holding State Enterprise with support from the PPIAF to
provide transaction advice and assist in capacity building.
> Palau/ Review of Palau Utility Corporation Tariff -
Leading a team to review the Corporation's tariff and recommend
strategies to balance the interests of consumers and the utility.
This project is supported by GEF/UNDP.
> Tanzania/ TANESCO - Financial advisor assisting the company with its Financial
Recovery Plan and financing
