Richard MacGeorge, Director

Richard is an infrastructure finance specialist with over 20 years of experience in this field. His experience relates mostly to financing energy projects in Asia, especially for public sector clients. 

In the late 80s and early 90s Richard worked for the New Zealand Government and then the investment bank Morgan Grenfell & Co in London on its East European desk. 

Through the 90s Richard was part of the project finance team of HSBC Investment Bank in London, Hong Kong and Thailand.

In the late 90s Richard joined Macquarie Bank in Australia as a director in its Asset and Infrastructure Group. In 2000 he returned to New Zealand and formed Ridgway.

John Austin, Associate

John Austin is a corporate finance and development banking specialist who has served as an executive director in the board of the World Bank and also as executive alternate director of the ADB.

His private sector experience includes a period leading ABN Amro’s corporate advisory division in Sydney. In New Zealand he has served on various boards and was the director of the University of Canterbury’s MBA programme.

With a particular focus on risk management, financial policy and private sector development in newly industrializing economies, John is also working in the emerging field of carbon financing. 

John is on assignment with the Asian Development Bank until mid 2010.

Tania Holden, Associate

Tania has over 18 years experience in project management and public relations roles. Her experience includes working for Chevron on the AUD 43 billion Gorgon Gas Development project and the Electricity Corporation of New Zealand on the 432 MW Clyde Dam. James Stewart, Associate

Carol Moffatt, Associate

Carol  responsible for managing Ridgway's administrative processes and systems. Carol brings over 14 years of strong administration and media experience.
